Travel Journal: Costa Rica Day 10

After the kayaking and rainy afternoon, we returned to Samasati. Went to the 4:30pm yoga class, and then read for a while until dinner at 7pm. At dinner we sat with Brian and April, Amy (the yoga teacher), and a couple who was staying in Manzanillo but came up for yoga and dinner. Our first couple of nights there, we sat alone - there was an Indian family of about 8-9 people and a few others who all seemed to know each other. The Indian family left on Sunday, and we got to know the few other people that were staying there, which made it more fun. There was a woman from New Jersey - Mariana - who was traveling alone, and we spent a lot of time with her. She wa very interesting and a lot of fun. Brian and April left after dinner on Monday, so it was just the three of us after that.

It continued to rain Monday night through Tuesday night. I was okay with that, since I wanted to have at least one day to just sit around and read books. On the way here, I finished The Heart is a Lonely Hunter. I started and finished One Hundred Years of Solitude, and am now working my way through Anna Karenina. I may not have a tan but I'm more cultured, yeah?
