Cheesed Off
While debating whether or not our recent two-day illness was the flu or food poisoning, Jeremy attempted to assure me of his expertise on the subject of food poisoning by uttering the following sentence,
"I had food poisoning...you know, back when all that bad cheese was going around in the '80s."
Um, excuse me?! Did he just say WHEN ALL THAT BAD CHEESE WAS GOING AROUND? IN THE '80s??? As if the "bad cheese" going around in the '80s was somehow as notorious as all the bad acid going around in the '60s? Like we've all heard about this phenomenon. Perhaps even that bands like Depeche Mode used to get on stage and warn the crowd to "stay away from the bad cheese."
After laughing until tears were streaming down my face, I sat back and realized that I definitely, DEFINITELY married the right man. I mean, who else would even SAY something like that?

How did you not know about all the bad cheese going around back in the 80's.. it was an incredible problem, all these teanagers would go out, generally to listen to some of that "Rock and Roll" Music, sometimes these holigans would "Park" their Cars, and then they would partake in this debauchery and actually eat cheese, sometimes fights would even break out over who "Cut the Cheese"
I'm married to a man like that! LOL Gotta love it! As for the cheese, he's right, that was some like, some wicked cheese, ya know dude? hehe
i remember the bad cheese, it was almost as bad as the farming season some years back in ireland....there were no fucking potatoes to be found yo, fo real....
This is particularly funny to me, since it's nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get food poisoning from cheese -- even if it were left on the counter for months and months, unless it were dipped in ancient rotting raw chicken juices and then used as a lollipop.
