Snowballs and Skyways and Whiskers on Kittens

Yay! Snow!

I left work yesterday after two consecutive eleven-hour days. But you know what? I was in a great mood. I still am.

Unlike most sensible Minnesotans, I took the streets to the bus stop instead of the skyway. I was so caught up in the magic of the snow that I started sticking out my tongue to catch snowflakes until I realized that all the employees inside Gameworks were laughing at me. Ah, well.

Then I got to my bus stop, and guess who was there? My mom! (By the way, nothing makes people in a bus stop turn and stare more than walking up and exclaiming, "Mom!") Anyway, I saw Madge again at the bus stop tonight. It's fun to see your mom at the end of the workday. If only she had some cookies and milk to give me, it would be just like the old days.

The only thing to darken my mood this evening are the people on my block who haven't yet shoveled their sidewalks. Thanks for the wet socks, wankers!

I want cookies. Where the cookies at, Ma!!

You're invited to make cookies -- gingerbread men, er, persons, (anatomically correct, optional), Russian, er Formerly Russian Tea Cakes, Peanut Butter, er, Peanut I-Can't-Believe-it's-not-butter, cookies -- at our house. Dec 20. Bring your own cookie cutters.

now i feel dumb. i actually did a search to see if there were actually "anatomically correct" cookie cutters... and there are.

I think it would be great if your Mom did meet you on the Bus and had cookies and milk for you.. made a big production of handing them out to you, of course, we are always tought to bring enough to share.. And the reason the people at Gameworks were laughing was someone you know was probably working and pointed you out to everyone there.

There are these nice people on my block who do the whole thing with their snowplow. On tuesday I left my house to find them actually at it. I'd never seen them before... They were kids from two doors down, and said they'd do a much better job, and up to my steps for a couple of bucks. I'd already done up to my steps that morning, but I gave them a five anyway, and said keep up the good work.

and tortoise, that was just the _first_ hit on google... there are pages and pages of them!

oops, by "snowplow" I meant "snowblower", although this is a monster snowblower, and I think it may actually opperate more like a plow, hence my mental flip-floppery.

I would KILL for kids to offer to shovel! I need kids for shoveling.

And here I thought it was my biological clock.

I found a post from a long time ago that said you were looking for The Gap Grass... I was a big fan of that scent, as well as Earth... Haven't found Grass yet, but check out this link for Earth, if you enjoyed that one...
