Totally Buffed

Last night was our engagement party at my Aunt Rita's.

Everything went quite well: the parents all met each other, my socially-shy father managed to make a lovely toast, J and I got busted making out by two of my aunts, and a good time was had by all.

Since everyone would be looking at my ring, I decided to get a manicure yesterday afternoon. And, since I deemed J's cuticles "unruly," and since everyone keeps telling me that he's a total Metrosexual*, I made him come with me to get a manicure as well (or, as he likes to call it, a "manlycure"). The whole process went well, although they put clear polish on his nails (I thought they'd just buff them). At any rate, he looked very dashing last night. Sad thing is, I don't think there's any pictures of us so you'll have to trust me on that.

Everyone was asking us when the wedding is; now that the trip to Italy is over, I guess it's time to start concentrating on that. Whee!

*After further research on the term "Metrosexual," I no longer agree that Jeremy is one. While he does treat women well, have good taste and a great sense of style, and know his way around the kitchen, he's not a dandy or obsessed with himself, as so many descriptions of metrosexuals seem to imply. So there!

Since no one had anything to say about this I'll at least vouch that you two both looked dashing.

(Except for the gay manlycure)

Michelle and I had a wonderful time.. even if J was cured of his manly part with that Manly cure.
