Yiddish Lunch

Tomorrow is my boss's birthday, so we took him to Cecil's for lunch. I had my first-ever bowl of Matzo Ball soup, a 1/2 hard salami sandwich on Rye and my frist-ever potato knish AND my first-ever hamentaschen (yes, I bought Cookie-colored nail polish).

It was a Jewish gastrointestinal adventure.

I'm glad you liked the good ol' haymishe (home-y) food of my people. But you put brown mustard on that potato knish, right? That's the only way to eat it.

No one told me of this brown mustard you speak of! I just ate it plain.

Now I'm gonna have to go back and do it right. But that's okay, because I haven't tried the borscht yet.
