Scary Saturday

Tommy and I went out for breakfast this morning (I use the term "morning" loosely), and then proceeded to while away the day with a couple of movies I hadn't seen yet: The Ring and Signs. (I wanted to watch them in daylight.) It felt good to do nothing, except that there are lots of things I should have been doing. Like writing stuff for work since I won't be in again until Tuesday.

Betty's wake is tomorrow; her funeral is Monday. I've been in a shit-ass mood for a solid week. Is it sadness over her death? Is it that time of year when everyone gets crazy because Winter is still here? Has the black hair turned me goth? Hard to say.

Taking Paddy to a midnight movie tonight; The Big Lebowski is one of his favorites. Ten bucks says I'll look at him, start thinking about when he was a baby, and start crying or something.

I'll be back to my old self soon. For now, though, it's time to crack open The Cure and think about getting more tattoos.
