Chicago Weekend
I'm avoiding packing for Chicago. I leave tomorrow morning for a long weekend, which should be great. I'm going to see my cousin Betsy (Lyz, now that she's all growed up), the Fluevog store, and IKEA. And I'm bringing the saucy pants, which guarantee good times and stories I can't tell you till the kids leave the room.
I've been quiet on the blog lately. Overwhelmed with partially-leaving my old job, starting my new job, and getting into the swing of things with my non-profit fundraising side project. I'm borderline losing my mind, but I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. This vacation will be good for me. My only real obligation is as a wedding date on Saturday night.
I seriously hope the DJ, if there is one, leaves "Baby Got Back" at home. I have a problem with that song: I know all the words and I can't help but recite them when it comes on. It's a sickness, really. "Baby Got Back" is my crack, and if you put it near me, I gots to take a hit. In fact, one time I needed it so bad, I freestyled it at a bonfire on Lake Superior, miles from civilation. This is no joke, people. No joke. I just need to slowly back away from the Sir Mix-A-Lot...

Are you psychic? Did you know that "Friends" would be featuring "Baby Got Back" tonight?

(He has a speakerphone on his cell phone.) So I did. Walking down Michigan Avenue at 1:00am I did Baby Got Back into my cell phone...much to the confusion of the other pedestrians.
