I park my car about

I park my car about a block away from my office in the Warehouse District, and I have to walk through this patch of gravel to get from the parking lot to the sidewalk. There are a lot of apartments and condos in the area, and a lot of the people living there appear to own dogs. No one seems to own this tiny plot, and apparently, every single dog in the area craps on it. It's right next to the railroad tracks, so it might be owned by the city. At any rate, it is a lawless land where canines roam free. So every weekday morning, with my cup of coffee in hand, I weave my way through piles and piles of dog shit. It really sets the tone for my day.
