Yesterday, I got a piece

Yesterday, I got a piece of rice stuck in my nose. I'm not sure if it has come out or not; I blew my nose several times, but could find no evidence of it. That's not to say it didn't come out; the tissue was white, and rice is white, so I might have just missed it.

Hey, that's strange. I've heard this called a lot of things ... snow, Major Tom, hard candy, blow ... but I never heard anyone call it rice before. Hmmm. Well, maybe you should consider injecting instead of sniffing next time?

Never fear - it's organic matter. But now you've got me thinking about all the ways one could actually get a piece of rice stuck in their nose. Laughing? Coughing? Falling asleep in your lunch? Rice Storm? Wedding bliss turned ugly?

don't write off the possibility that she was just trying to see how far she could get it in. i'm sure she's done crazier things without thinking first.

This is perhaps one of the most disgusting things I've ever heard.

So, 48 hours later and I am still wondering how the hell ya got rice up your nose.

I was hoping for a plausable explaination, yet since none has been offered, I am left to assume that Tortoise might be right...

And Mopsa - ya just never know where I might turn up :)

i was trying to be mysterious!

i was eating some rice for lunch and i laughed or snorted or breathed wrong or something and next thing i know i have this horrible sensation of a grain of rice in my right nostril...much nose-blowing ensued.

and that's the truth.
