Alright, I think I'm going

Alright, I think I'm going to stay in the book club for now. At first I thought I would hate having a deadline for finishing a book. I thought maybe that would remove some of my enjoyment of it. But actually, it's kind of nice to read at least one book a month -- it forces me to make time for an activity that is very easy to push aside in the interest of "getting things done." That's why the old Stitch & Bitch nights were so nice, too. It ensured that I was knitting at least one night a week. The cool thing is, our next book club meeting coincides with a knitting club I've been meaning to try at Dunn Bros., so we're going to meet there, knit, and talk books. I love multitasking!

From the "Doing My Part to Keep Capitalism Afloat" department: I got my 3 CDs from Amazon today: Norah Jones, Beth Orton, and The Donnas. They all come with the irish-girl seal of approval (and I just found out The Donnas are going to be at The Quest on Halloween. I might have to bust out some black eyeliner and go check it out.). Today, I placed an order for The Blue Latitudes (our next book club selection) and a box set of the first three books in the "A Series of Unfortunate Events" by Lemony Snicket. Those should be fun little Saturday afternoon reads.

In other news, I am in a great mood. La-di-da. If you were here, I'd hug ya. Maybe it's because I worked out today. *flex*
